This is the first update in an attempt to end the limbo-like status of Gyelfars.


What's the new direction?

Gyelfars was never meant to take this long to complete. It was always meant to be a small tactics game. Starting with this update, every 4 weeks should bring a minor update leading to the final release.

That means version 1.0 in 4 weeks time.

To ensure this goal is reached, any features that delay development will be cut. Where suitable, and If possible, pre-made assets will be used.

Timeline:

  • 1 week from now - v0.7 - Alpha version. Feature complete.
  • 2 weeks from now - v0.8 - Asset complete.
  • 3 weeks from now - v0.9 - Bug hunt.
  • 4 weeks from now - v1.0 - Manintenance.

What's notably new in v0.6?

  • 3 playable map scenarios
  • Disable equipment
  • Equipment trading
  • Save and load
  • Targeting w/o selecting a destination first
  • Gliding units that are not affected by terrain
  • 3D character battle scene (crashes with disable equipment)
